Job summary

Kumaran Systems is seeking an Automation Tester with 5+ years of experience to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications. You will build robust automation frameworks, execute automated and manual tests, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Programming in Java, Python, or C# for automation scripting.
• Experience with test automation frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, or similar).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, or Maven.
• Experience with API testing (Postman or Rest Assured).
• Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• ISTQB or other software testing certifications (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance test automation frameworks for web applications, preferentially in Playwright.
• Execute automated and manual test cases to ensure software quality.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and test scenarios.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues using defect tracking tools.
• Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar tools).
• Perform regression testing, functional testing, and integration testing.
• Maintain and improve test coverage and automation efficiency.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning and stand-ups.

Job Title: Automation Tester (5+ Years of Experience)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Automation Tester with around 5 years of experience in test automation and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of web applications. The role requires strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver, Python, Playwright, Automation frameworks, and CI/CD integration.

• Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber (preferred).
• Knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Maven.
• Experience in defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter or similar).
• Exposure to cloud-based testing environments.
• Knowledge of Docker or container-based test environments.
• ISTQB or other software testing certifications.
