Job summary

Codincity Digital Technologies is seeking an automation testing engineer proficient in QTP/UFT to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts. You will work on functional, regression, and regression testing, ensuring quality across releases.

Ideal candidates possess hands-on QTP/UFT experience, VBScript skills, and familiarity with SDLC/STLC. Collaboration with developers and analysts, along with defect tracking using JIRA or Azure DevOps, is essential.

About the Role

Codincity Digital Technologies is looking for an automation testing engineer with hands-on experience in QTP/UFT automation. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of automation frameworks, functional testing, regression testing, and test script development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using QTP/UFT.
• Automate functional, regression, smoke, and sanity test cases.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and identify suitable test scenarios for automation.
• Create and maintain reusable automation scripts and components.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.
• Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Perform defect retesting and regression testing.
• Maintain automation test scripts based on application changes.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and manual testing teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare test execution reports and share testing status with stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvement.

Required Skills

• 36 years of experience in Automation Testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with QTP/UFT (QuickTest Professional / Unified Functional Testing).
• Good knowledge of VBScript and its use in QTP/UFT automation.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts.
• Good understanding of functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing.
• Experience with Object Repository, Descriptive Programming, Checkpoints, Parameterization, and Data-Driven Testing in QTP/UFT.
• Experience with defect management tools such as JIRA / Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of SQL/database testing is preferred.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
