Job summary

Ericsson is seeking an Automation Support Engineer to automate defined tasks within managed service delivery for customers. You will work with AI/LLM implementations, Linux/Unix, and scripting to deliver reliable automation aligned with requirements and high-level design documents.

The role requires solid documentation practices, collaboration with customers, and mentoring teammates. Noida-based, full-time position focused on enhancing automation across services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a relevant engineering field with Unix-based OS understanding.
• L1 proficiency in Unix shell scripting is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of databases and SQL scripting.
• Strong troubleshooting of software bugs.

Responsibilities

• Implement automation tasks per approved requirements and high-level design documentation to meet functionality and performance goals.
• Create, maintain and update process documentation including reports, backups and staff training.
• Monitor lifecycle processes for adherence and drive improvements to reduce wastage and automate where possible.
• Coordinate and communicate within the team and with customers, mentoring and guiding team members.
• Manage periodic progress reporting to management and the customer.

About this opportunity:

At Ericsson, we are currently in search of a dedicated and proficient Automation Support Engineer to join our team. In this exciting role, you will be integral to the automation of defined tasks within managed service delivery for our customers. Acting with approved requirements and following high-level design (HLD) documentation, your primary responsibility is to deliver automation that achieves specific functionality and performance in line with overall requirements and customer expectations.

What you will do

• Have the knowledge of implementing AI using LLM.
• Have the knowledge of Mobile technologies, open OSS like ELK and prometheus
• Have L1 Knowledge of working on RHEL /Windows
• Have solid knowledge of MS office.
• Basic knowledge of Linux OS.
• have some knowledge of any programming language like Java/python and desireable knowledge of awk, sed and basic unix scripting skills
• create, maintain and update documentation related to processes like running reports, taking back up and restoration and training the new staff.
• Have the skills to Troubleshooting techniques and identifying the minor code bugs
• Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
• Identify, encourage and build or support in automated processes wherever possible
• Coordination and communication within the team and with customers
• Mentoring and guiding the team members
• Managing periodic reporting on the progress to the management and the customer

The skills you bring

• require a full time bachelor’s degree in Telecom, Electronics, information systems or computer science or related discipline along with a strong understanding of the Unix-based operating system. If they are conversant with Cisco switches and Netbackup and database knowledge, it would be beneficial.
• L1 Proficiency in scripting in Unix Shell would give them an edge over their peers.
• Basic knowledge of databases and writing SQL scripts.
• Flair for troubleshooting software bugs.

Key Qualification

• Education: B.E/B.Tech/MTech in Computer Science, Telcom or information system from Reputed University
• Experience: not more than 1 year in relevant areas
