As an Automation Engineer within our Life Science division, you will take ownership of the full automation engineering lifecycle for custom projects, from design and software development through to customer acceptance testing and on-site qualification. You will apply your technical expertise in industrial automation to deliver precise, reliable, and GMP-compliant solutions that directly impact the quality of equipment and processes used by our customers. Collaborating closely with production, engineering, procurement, and cross-functional teams, as well as external customers and suppliers, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of automation engineering deliverables across a growing portfolio of custom projects in India and globally.
You hold a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Medical Electronics, or a related field.
You bring 4 to 5 years of industry experience as an Automation Engineer, preferably in Medical Electronics, Mechatronics, or special purpose machines.
You have solid hands‑on knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI, server‑client architecture, drives, and smart instrumentation, with practical experience on Siemens, Rockwell, or Schneider automation platforms.
You are experienced in software development and testing for custom automation applications, including analysis of complex control logic and understanding of technical specifications.
You are familiar with communication protocols such as Ethernet IP, Profibus, Modbus, OPC UA, and ODBC, and have experience in automation hardware and software configuration and commissioning.
You are comfortable preparing automation design documentation, providing input for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and installation and operational qualification (IQ/OQ) protocols, and conducting root cause analysis for automation issues.
You communicate clearly and professionally with customers, co‑workers, and vendors, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong focus on quality and delivery.
You are willing to travel domestically and internationally to support customer site activities as required.
