Job summary

Rohde & Schwarz in Delhi seeks an automation engineer to design, develop, and maintain automation solutions with a focus on Ansible. You will collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and operations teams to standardize workflows and implement scalable automation across IT tasks.

The role requires hands-on expertise with Ansible and Linux/Unix administration, plus familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and other automation tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Ansible, including playbook development, roles, inventories, and automation best practices.
• Experience with Python, Bash, Terraform, Jenkins, or similar automation tools.
• Good understanding of Linux/Unix system administration and operational support processes.
• Familiarity with cloud and infrastructure environments, such as Azure, AWS, virtualized platforms, or container platforms.

• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for operational tasks, with a primary focus on Ansible and the flexibility to use other automation tools where appropriate.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and operations teams to identify manual processes, standardize workflows, and implement scalable, reliable automation.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve automated processes to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and support stable service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience in IT operations, infrastructure automation, or platform engineering roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Ansible, including playbook development, roles, inventories, and automation best practices.
• Experience with additional automation, scripting, or orchestration tools such as Python, Bash, Terraform, Jenkins, or similar technologies.
• Good understanding of Linux/Unix system administration and operational support processes.
• Familiarity with cloud and infrastructure environments, such as Azure, AWS, virtualized platforms, or container platforms.
