Job summary

Weekday AI (YC W21) seeks a Senior Automation Architect to lead enterprise-scale test automation and framework design across web, API, and performance testing. You will define automation strategies, establish engineering best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high‑quality software at scale.

You will mentor automation engineers, drive CI/CD improvements with Jenkins and GitHub Actions, and advance cloud-based testing on AWS to ensure scalable, reliable, and fast

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Software Testing, Test Automation, or Quality Engineering with automation architecture expertise.
• Hands-on development of enterprise automation frameworks using industry-standard tools.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD integration and performance testing practices.
• Proven leadership and mentoring of automation teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement enterprise-wide automation testing strategies and frameworks for web, API, and performance testing.
• Design scalable automation solutions using Java, Selenium WebDriver, Rest Assured, and related technologies.
• Lead development and optimization of automated functional, regression, integration, and performance test suites.
• Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, product, and QA teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
• Drive performance testing initiatives using JMeter and Gatling to validate scalability.
• Establish automation standards, coding guidelines, reusable components, and best practices in QE.
• Mentor automation engineers and provide architectural guidance across projects.
• Support cloud-based testing initiatives and deployments on AWS environments.
• Continuously evaluate emerging automation tools and methodologies to improve efficiency.
