Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Automation Test Engineer to lead the implementation of automation testing within our organization. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks while ensuring high-quality software delivery for a complex web based product. This role will also involve mentoring QA engineers, defining automation best practices, and collaborating closely with developers and product teams to improve the overall testing process.

Role & responsibilities

1. Automation Framework Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation test frameworks from scratch.
• Identify suitable automation tools and technologies based on project requirements.
• Build reusable automation scripts for web and API testing.
• Integrate automated test suites into the CI/CD pipeline.

2. Test Planning & Execution

• Analyze business requirements and technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases.
• Prepare and maintain test data for automation and regression testing.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testing.

3. Bug Identification & Reporting

• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects.
• Collaborate closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Verify bug fixes and ensure production readiness.

4. Automation Strategy & Process Improvement

• Drive automation adoption across projects.
• Continuously improve testing processes and automation coverage.
• Recommend tools, frameworks, and best practices to improve QA efficiency.
• Monitor automation execution and maintain test stability.

5. Mentoring & Knowledge Sharing

• Mentor and guide QA engineers in automation testing.
• Conduct knowledge‑sharing sessions and code reviews.
• Assist team members in writing efficient automation scripts.
• Promote QA best practices and quality standards across the organization.

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain automation documentation, test plans, and test execution reports.
• Track automation coverage and testing metrics.
• Present test status and quality reports to stakeholders.

7. Collaboration & Product Quality

• Work closely with Developers and Product Managers.
• Participate in requirement discussions and sprint planning.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software releases.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
