Job summary

PwC Acceleration Center India is seeking an Automation, API and Integration Testing Manager to lead quality engineering practices across advisory, assurance, tax and business services. You will guide API/integration testing, drive test strategies, and mentor junior staff while ensuring projects meet client expectations with integrity and collaboration.

You will own end-to-end testing processes, validate complex workflows, and promote innovative testing methodologies to improve software quality

Qualifications

• At least a Bachelor's degree.
• 8+ years of experience in quality engineering/testing.
• English proficiency (oral and written).

As an Automation, API and Integration Testing Manager, you will lead the charge in implementing quality engineering practices within our Technology Consulting network. You will focus on developing innovative software solutions and driving product innovation to meet the evolving needs of clients. In this role, you will utilize your technical experience and creative thinking to deliver software products that enhance user experience and optimize performance.

As a Manager, you will be responsible for coaching and leveraging team members' unique strengths to meet client expectations. You will play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities that contribute to the success of our firm. In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will take ownership of projects, confirming their successful planning, budgeting, execution, and completion. You will also mentor junior staff, develop skills outside your comfort zone, and address conflicts or issues, engaging in difficult conversations with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Leading the implementation of quality engineering standards in software development and testing processes
• Managing and guiding teams in the execution of API and integration testing strategies
• Utilizing analytical thinking to identify and resolve software defects, optimizing performance and enhancing user experience
• Overseeing the design and execution of test cases, protocols, and quality assurance metrics
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and innovation in software quality assurance
• Developing and mentoring team members to leverage their strengths and improve performance
• Conducting systems integration testing and user acceptance testing to validate software functionality
• Facilitating the release management quality assurance process to maintain software reliability and security
• Encouraging the adoption of innovative technologies and methodologies to enhance software testing practices
• Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders to address quality challenges and deliver client‑focused solutions

What You Must Have

• At least a Bachelor's degree
• At least 8 years of experience
• Oral and written proficiency in English required

What Sets You Apart

• Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, Graphic Design, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Mathematics
• Demonstrating proficiency in Quality Assurance Engineering and Quality Management
• Utilizing Selenium for browser automation and software testing
• Excelling in systems integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Embracing change and innovation in digital integration and architecture
• Developing skills in coaching and mentoring team members
• Analyzing complex systems to identify linkages and interactions

Prior hands‑on experience validating software application is a must

End-to‑end scenario validation (inbound/outbound flows, receipts, timeouts, second‑round routing/rollover)

Negative and manual-intervention paths (approval/repair/reconciliation, compliance timeouts, accounting retries/compensations)

Performance/SLA testing for instant payments; multi‑scheme regression coverage

Strong understanding of API testing tools with a strong preference for Cucumber

Experience using SOAP UI/SmartBear or Postman

Experience testing MQ (Message Queues)

Detail oriented with strong communication skill to work with BAs, architects and developers

Experience working with defect tracking tools with preference given to Jira
