Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Civil-cum-Electrical Draftsperson with 5 to 10 years of hands‑on experience in industrial plant infrastructure, terminal facilities, civil buildings, structural steelwork, and electrical utility drafting. The ideal candidate will possess expert‑level proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and a proven track record in developing plot plans, admin building layouts, tank foundations, loading shed General Arrangement Drawings (GADs), road/paving networks, and detailed electrical cable/tray layouts. This role involves active site verification, interdisciplinary clash resolution, and technical coordination with engineering teams across India.

Key Responsibilities

• Plot Plan & Facility Layouts:

1. Prepare and update comprehensive industrial Plot Plans, overall plant layouts, block layouts, equipment layout plans, and safety distance mark‑ups per OISD and statutory norms.

• Civil, Building & Structural Drafting:

1. Prepare detailed Architectural and Civil drawings for Admin Buildings, control rooms, sub‑stations, security cabins, and Rest Rooms / amenities blocks (floor plans, elevations, wall sections, finishing details, and plumbing layout integration).
2. Draft design and fabrication drawings for Tank Foundations (ring wall, gravel bed, pile caps, leak detection systems) and heavy equipment foundations.
3. Prepare detailed General Arrangement Drawings (GAD) and structural fabrication layouts for Loading Sheds (truck/wagon loading gantries), including column grid layouts, truss/rafter details, crane beams, and roof/side Shed Sheeting profiles.

• Infrastructure & Site Grading:

1. Draft internal plant Roads, paving layouts, storm water drainage channels, oily water sewers (OWS), dyke walls, culverts, and site grading drawings.

• Electrical & Instrumentation Layouts:

1. Develop detailed Electrical Cable Layouts, underground cable trench sections, cable tray routing plans, buried duct bank details, and overhead tray supports with minimal support from Electrical engineer
2. Draft Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Motor Control Centre (MCC) room layouts, substation equipment layouts, Earthing grid networks, lightning protection layouts, and hazardous area classification plans.

• Bill of Quantities (BOQ) & Take‑Offs:

1. Extract precise Material Take‑Offs (MTO) and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for civil/structural scope (concrete, reinforcement steel, structural steel tonnage, shed sheeting area, road/paving quantities) and electrical scope (cable lengths, tray sizes, Earthing flat runs).

• Site Verification & As‑Built Mapping:

1. Conduct site visits across India to execute field measurements, locate tie‑in points, complete site mark‑ups, map underground utilities, and finalize accurate as‑built drawings.

• Standards Compliance & Coordination:

1. Strictly adhere to Indian Standards (IS codes), OISD guidelines (OISD-STD-118, OISD-STD-110, OISD-STD-149, OISD-STD-173), National Electrical Code (NEC), and project specifications.
2. Coordinate with piping, mechanical, process, and instrumentation engineers to eliminate space conflicts between cable trays, pipe racks, civil foundations, and underground services.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education: Degree or Diploma in Civil/Electrical Engineering,

Experience: 5 to 10 years of core civil and electrical Design & drafting experience in Oil & Gas, Refineries, Petrochemicals, POL Storage Terminals or Power Plants, or Heavy Industrial Infrastructure projects.

Software Expertise: Expert‑level command of AutoCAD 2D (keyboard shortcuts, dynamic blocks, external references / Xrefs, layer management, sheet sets, and plot styles).

Technical Knowledge:

1. Civil / Structural / Architectural: In‑depth understanding of admin building / amenity building drafting, loading shed structural framing/sheeting details, storage tank foundation drawings, internal road cross‑sections, and storm water/OWS drainage profiles.
2. Electrical: Practical knowledge of electrical symbols, single‑line diagrams, cable tray routing logic, underground trenching details, earthing grid layout designs, and hazardous area classification layouts.
3. Codes & Standards: Strong working knowledge of OISD standards, IS codes for building and structural detailing, and industrial safety distances.
4. Communication: Excellent written and spoken English communication skills for client interaction, interdisciplinary coordination, and site technical reporting.

Operational Requirements

1. Mobility: Willingness and flexibility to undertake frequent short‑and-medium-term site visits to project locations all over India at short notice.
2. Site Fitness: Capability to execute field walk downs, elevation checks, physical surveys, and dynamic measurements in active industrial and refinery site environments.

Preferred / Good‑to‑Have Skills

1. Proficiency in 3D modelling tools such as Tekla Structures, Civil 3D, CADWorks, or Plant 3D.
2. Hands‑on experience preparing formal as‑built documentation packages post‑site survey.
3. Prior exposure to project drafting standards of major clients/consultancies (e.g., CPCL, IOCL, HPCL, BPCL, EIL).
