Job summary

Verritas Furniture Private Limited is seeking an AutoCAD Draftsman to turn product designs into clear 2D production drawings for sofa manufacturing lines in Kolkata and Bengaluru. You will produce frame and panel drawings, cutting lists and assembly details.

The role requires AutoCAD (2D) proficiency, an engineering diploma, and 2–5 years of drafting experience in furniture or manufacturing. You will coordinate with floor teams, update revisions, and maintain organized drawing files.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of drafting experience in furniture, wood, fabrication or manufacturing.
• Ability to read and make accurate dimensioned drawings with tolerances.
• Basic knowledge of sofa or furniture construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D production drawings in AutoCAD: frame drawings, panel and plywood cutting drawings, and assembly details.
• Make cutting lists and material lists for wood, plywood, foam and hardware.
• Draw spring, foam and upholstery pattern layouts.
• Prepare jig, fixture and trolley drawings for the shop floor.
• Update drawings when designs change, and keep a revision record.
• Coordinate with production supervisors on the floor and resolve drawing queries.
• Maintain organised drawing files, both soft copies and printed sets.
• Support plant layout and line layout drawings when needed.

About the Role

We need an AutoCAD Draftsman to prepare production drawings for our sofa manufacturing lines. You will turn product designs and samples into clear, dimensioned drawings that the carpentry, cutting, upholstery and assembly teams can build from without confusion.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D production drawings in AutoCAD: frame drawings, panel and plywood cutting drawings, and assembly details.
• Make cutting lists and material lists for wood, plywood, foam and hardware.
• Draw spring, foam and upholstery pattern layouts.

Requirements

• ITI / Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production or Furniture Design.
• 2–5 years of drafting experience in furniture, wood, fabrication or manufacturing.
• Ability to read and make accurate dimensioned drawings with tolerances.
• Basic knowledge of sofa or furniture construction is preferred.
• Basic MS Excel.
• Languages: Hindi and English. Bengali for Kolkata, Kannada helpful for Bengaluru.

Good to Have

• Experience in a sofa or upholstered furniture factory.
• Basic 3D modelling (SketchUp / SolidWorks).
