Job summary

Appletree Building Maintenance is seeking a skilled draftsman/engineer to prepare comprehensive 2D AutoCAD drawings including GA, fabrication, and installation layouts for structural and fa ade projects.

The role requires strong knowledge of welding symbols, GD&T basics, and steel fabrication drawings, with collaboration across engineering, production, procurement, and site teams to ensure accurate, revision-controlled documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with steel fabrication drawings preferred
• Knowledge of welding symbols and GD&T basics required

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings.
• Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
• Prepare fabrication drawings.
• Produce manufacturing drawings.
• Prepare assembly drawings.
• Create installation drawings.
• Develop shop drawings.
• Generate fabrication BOMs.
• Modify drawings based on engineering reviews.
• Ensure revision control of all drawings.
• Study architectural drawings.
• Study structural drawings.
• Review fa ade drawings.
• Understand project specifications.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, procurement, and project teams.
• Attend design review meetings.
• Support site engineers during installation.
• Resolve fabrication drawing issues.
• Support CNC cutting data preparation.
• Coordinate with machine shop.
• Coordinate with fabrication department.
• Support procurement for bought-out items.
• Assist Quality department during inspections.

Production Support

• Resolve fabrication drawing issues.
