Job summary

Hitech Digital Solutions LLC in Ahmedabad is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in AutoCAD, sheet-metal engineering, fabrication drawings, welding symbols, CNC programming and standard drawing practices.

The candidate will create and modify mechanical parts, assemblies and detailed engineering drawings while ensuring accuracy, manufacturability and compliance with drawing and fabrication standards.

Qualifications

• BE degree with 2+ years of experience or Diploma.
• Client communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience in AutoCAD drawings and mechanical drafting.
• Good understanding of standard drawing practices.
• Knowledge of sheet-metal properties and fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify mechanical parts, assemblies and detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Prepare and maintain drawings in accordance with standard drawing practices.
• Apply drawing symbols, welding symbols and tolerances as required.
• Develop designs considering sheet-metal properties and fabrication processes.
• Apply knowledge of materials used in fabrication while developing designs.
• Prepare and interpret drawings related to welding, fabrication and sheet-metal engineering.
• Coordinate with manufacturing/fabrication teams to ensure designs are production-ready.
• Utilize CNC programming and Waterjet machining in the design and manufacturing process.
• Integrate appropriate welding practices and welding symbols into engineering drawings.
• Ensure accurate representation of welding and fabrication requirements in drawings.
• Support drawing modifications and updates based on project or manufacturing requirements.
• Maintain accuracy and consistency across drawings and documentation.
