Job summary

Pierag is seeking a Senior for UK Assurance to serve audit teams and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables for global clients in a hybrid setup in Gurgaon. The role requires strong technical knowledge and leadership to guide associates and perform reviews with high standards.

Ideal candidates bring knowledge of Ind AS, UK GAAP and FRS 102, familiarity with IFRS, and a track record from Big Four or top-tier firms. This position offers exposure to multinational clients and cross-border audits.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years’ post-qualification experience (CA, ACCA) or 3-6 years’ of experience (CA/ACCA pursuing) with Mid-or top-tier accounting firm or Big 4's, focused on external or statutory audits.
• Internship with other big four or mid-tier accounting firm.
• Knowledge of Ind AS (Indian Accounting Standards) and auditing standards.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102; familiarity with IFRS and international auditing standards is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead an engagement from the Pierag front and ensure the team delivers timely and high-quality work, in line with the Global team expectations.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of audit while performing reviews of audit procedures performed by staff.
• Document work performed fully to the level agreed with the reviewing Manager and conclude clearly on individual tests and sections completed.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with key client contacts.
• Proactively discuss workflow management with the audit teams, allocating resources to the assigned work and monitoring performance against standards.
• Monitor time against budget on assigned engagements and flag overruns promptly.
• Demonstrate professionalism, competence and clarity of communication when dealing with Pierag and Global audit teams.
• Establish expectations of value to be delivered to the respective Global teams aligned.
• Identify opportunities to improve the scope of work for Pierag on one's own engagements.
• Standardize audit processes along with leveraging best practices across one's aligned engagements or beyond.
• Motivate and lead one's Pierag team members, identify and foster key talents, coach and supervise team members
• Be responsible for various operational matters related to engagements aligned.
• Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback/training. Lead by example.

About The Role As a Senior, you would be the main point of contact from Pierag for the tasks assigned by the UK client serving audit teams and be responsible for the timeliness and quality of deliverables along with managing day to day operations of those engagements. The role requires the individual to possess technical knowledge, including ability to interpret audit and accounting standards and strong project management skills along with excellent communication and leadership skills. Seniors would have associate level personnel to work with at Pierag and get the tasks executed from them along with performing a review as a senior, which is defined by the Global client serving audit teams. The role will provide an experience of Pierag’s multinational clients who would get an exposure to various Auditing & Accounting standards like UK GAAP, IFRS. Key Responsibilities
