Job summary

A diversified Consumer Electronics company in Coimbatore is seeking an experienced Audit Head to lead audit operations. The role involves conducting audits, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with teams to enhance financial integrity. Candidates should be CA-Inter qualified with 4-5 years of experience, strong in analytical thinking, and possess effective communication skills. Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of experience in audit (excluding articleship).
  • Good working knowledge of statutory laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in the retail industry is preferred.
  • Independent, analytical thinker with the ability to collaborate effectively as a team player.
  • Good working knowledge of statutory laws and regulations (Income Tax, GST, Labour Laws, etc.).
  • Proven experience in the audit field — retail industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular audits of financial records as per the audit plan.
  • Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements.
  • Report deviations and audit observations to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate internal controls, identify loopholes, and recommend improvements.
  • Liaise with external auditors and advisors for audit-related activities.
  • Verify statutory compliances, reconcile statutory returns with books of accounts, and highlight gaps.
  • Review reconciliation statements, identify discrepancies, and communicate them to concerned teams.
  • Conduct periodic stock audits, review discrepancies, and drive corrective actions.
  • Review monthly trial balance and recommend corrective measures.
  • Analyse existing processes, compare them with SOPs, and communicate process gaps to task owners.
  • Identify potential areas for cost reduction and support cost-control initiatives.
