Peri Thiagraj & Co in Madurai seeks a diligent CA/commerce professional to support statutory and tax audits, TDS, and income tax work. The candidate should have articleship exposure or CA studies in progress and a good grasp of Excel and accounting software.

The role offers exposure to audits across industries, with learning opportunities in consulting and tax planning, and a Monday–Saturday work schedule in a well-established firm.

Qualifications

• Experience in statutory audit, tax audit and TDS is preferred.
• This role requires knowledge of Income Tax Act and accounting standards.
• CA students PP/Final with articleship exposure are preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist in statutory audit of companies, including vouching and finalisation of audit files.
• Prepare and assist in tax audit filings (Form 3CD and related reports).
• Handle TDS computations, returns and application of TDS provisions.
• Support in income tax return preparation and tax planning.
• Assist in internal audits and bank/insurance audits.
• Coordinate with clients for data collection and queries and maintain papers.

About us:

We are a well-established chartered accountancy firm in Madurai offering a full range of audit, taxation and consulting services, including income tax return preparation, tax planning, appeals preparation and representation, company audit, internal audit, and bank and insurance audit. You will work on varied assignments and gain exposure across industries.

Role & responsibilities:

• Assist in statutory audit of companies, including vouching, verification and finalisation of audit files
• Prepare and assist in tax audit filing (Form 3CD and related reports)
• Handle TDS-related work: computation, returns and application of TDS provisions
• Support income tax return preparation and tax planning
• Assist in internal audit and bank and insurance audit assignments
• Help prepare appeals and documentation for representation before tax authorities
• Coordinate with clients for data collection and queries
• Maintain proper working papers and complete assignments within deadlines

Preferred candidate profile:

• Previous experience in a CA/auditor office is preferred
• Candidates who have completed articleship or cleared any level of the CA course (Foundation, Inter or Final) are preferred
• Working knowledge of statutory audit, tax audit and TDS
• Good understanding of the Income Tax Act and accounting standards
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Tally (or similar accounting software)
• Good communication skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CA Final / equivalent
