To assist in procedures such as bronchoscopy, resuscitation, endotrachial intubation, biopsy, lumbar puncture, drainages, and related procedures.
To coordinate with other specialties in a timely manner.
To stay updated with current research and treatment techniques in Pediatrics.
To attend emergencies per protocol and ensure the department is adequately equipped at all times.

To effectively interface with patients & attendants and to co-ordinate on all matters relating to:
To provide need based assistance in selection of type & nature of medical consumables and equipment to be procured.
To practice evidence based medicine with awareness regarding patients, proper evaluation and deciding adequate line of treatment. {Investigation- (profile/reports/plan)} {Treatment- (details/drug procurement)} {Drug Allergies/ patient history}.
To assist Consultants as per institution’s protocols in carrying out procedures like bronchoscopy, resuscitation, endotrachial intubation, exchange transfusion, ryle tube insertion, biopsy, lumbar puncture, suture removal, abscess drainage, anoplasty , chest tube insertion, decortications, epispadis , excissions , MAGPI, biopsy, tracheal aspiration, etc.
To timely coordinate with other specialties.
To keep abreast with latest research & treatment techniques in the field of Pediatrics.
To attend emergencies as per institution’s protocol and to ensure the department is suitably equipped at all times.
To ensure optimum utilization of resources by him/her and subordinates, complaint redressal of patients, ensure quality of treatment & services, sterilization and accuracy during the various diagnostics & procedures and eliminate/minimize errors therein.
To supervise & train all nursing/technical assistants of the department.
To ensure cost effectiveness of the operation of the department.
To be well groomed, punctual & adhere to company policies and practices.
To have complete orientation of QMS and EMS system of Hospital.
To have complete Awareness about Disaster Management Programme (DMP) of the hospital.
To comply with the service quality Process, environmental & occupational issues & policies of the respective area.
To comply with patient safety policy.
To ensure safe utilization of equipments and proper waste disposal system
