Title: Associate – Global Equities

Location: Mumbai

Applicant requirements

The applicant must possess the following:

• Chartered Accountant / CFA / MBA from reputed university
• At least 6-8 years of experience in investment research
• Highly motivated and self-driven as you are expected to work independently
• Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build/improvise the asset allocation framework of the firm
• Critically evaluate investment opportunities and portfolio holdings and recommend portfolio actions
• Ability to review investment products and write product review notes
• Good understanding of market cycles, investment risk management, and valuation methodologies

Skills and Experience

• Ability to mentor junior analysts in the team
• Carry out portfolio reviews independently with the clients
• Periodically write blogs/newsletters for the firm
• Experience in advising clients
• Strong business acumen and product knowledge

Key Responsibilities

• Identifying investible opportunities in Global Equities markets in line with the Firm’s Investment Philosophy
• Keeping track of market trends and managing the asset allocation model
• Leading the efforts to produce blogs, newsletters and podcasts on behalf of the firm
• Writing investment research notes and financial analysis on investee companies/funds/instruments including the watchlist
• Maintaining financial models for equities to be tracked and regularly tracking performance
• Periodic portfolio and performance reporting to clients
• Effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders
• You will be working in a flat reporting structure and therefore expected to have a tremendous amount of self-drive and willingness to take ownership of your work. This will also mean a lot of freedom to handle your responsibilities.
