Job summary

RSM US LLP in Gurugram is seeking an Audit Associate to support audit engagements for middle-market clients. You will learn the RSM US audit approach, perform procedures, document work, and help prepare reports and letters for engagement teams.

The role emphasizes professional skepticism, ethics, and teamwork, with daily collaboration with U.S. audit professionals. Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce.
  • 1 year of relevant experience (non-qualified).
  • CA/ACCA/CPA qualified with 0–1 years experience.
  • Strong data analytics skills including advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
  • Strong multi-tasking and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and demonstrate understanding of RSM US audit approach, methodology and tools.
  • Perform audit procedures and tests with proper documentation.
  • Identify accounting and auditing issues; discuss with audit in-charge.
  • Assist engagement team in preparation of audit reports and management letters.
  • Exercise professional skepticism and adhere to the code of ethics.
  • Ensure documentation complies with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with US audit professionals and senior management daily.
  • Own assigned tasks and deliverables to ensure client service excellence.
  • Coordinate development and execution of the audit work plan and client deliverables.
  • Understand RSM US and service offerings and work as a team.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and demonstrating an understanding of the RSM US audit approach, methodology and tools
  • Performing audit procedures and tests in accordance with RSM audit methodology based overall audit plan, ensuring proper documentation of work performed
  • Identifying accounting and auditing issues; discussing with audit in-charge to solve issues that arise
  • Assisting engagement team in preparation of audit reports, and management letters
  • Exercising professional skepticism, judgment and adhere to the code of ethics while on engagements
  • Ensuring that documentation is compliant with quality standards of the firm
  • Working collaboratively as a part of the team and communicate effectively with RSM audit professionals, supervisors, and senior management in the U.S. on a daily basis
  • Taking ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables to ensure service excellence through prompt responses to internal and external clients
  • Providing timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the development and execution of the audit work plan and client deliverables
  • Understanding RSM US and RSM's line of business service offerings and work as a team in providing an integrated service delivery
  • Ensuring professional development through ongoing education
  • Participating in a range of projects and open to collaborate and work with multiple teams; demonstrating critical thinking, problem solving, initiative and timely completion of work
  • Developing an understanding clients' needs and expectations, their business and industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values and industry-related GAAP and GAAS issues
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors in Commerce
  • Non-qualified: 1 year of relevant experience
  • CA qualified, ACCA/CPA qualified + 0-1 years relevant experience
  • Strong Data Analytical skills including advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, and basic formulas), Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong multi-tasking and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication (English) as the position requires frequent communications with RSM International clients
Preferred Qualifications
  • CA/ACCA/CPA Freshers' successfully achieved certification
