Job summary

Chemin Enviro Systems seeks a Safety Officer to join its field teams in Erode/Perundurai. The role requires 2–5 years of experience and a degree or diploma. You will ensure compliance with safety standards, perform risk assessments, and coordinate PPE usage across project sites.

You will lead safety inductions, conduct toolbox talks, and maintain critical safety records while coordinating emergency drills and site safety programs with contractors and staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to conduct safety training and awareness sessions.
• Basic MS Office proficiency and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and statutory regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments at project sites.

• Identify unsafe conditions and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases and prepare reports.
• Maintain safety records, permits, checklists, and statutory documents.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness activities and mock drills.
• Ensure compliance with client-specific HSE requirements at sites.
• Support site teams in implementing safe work practices.
