Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Pathankot, India, seeks an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure continuous operation of ESP, AHP, and BOP electrical systems. You will manage PM activities, condition monitoring, safety training, and compliance to minimize downtime and injuries.

The role requires hands-on expertise in electrical equipment, fault diagnosis, budget adherence, and driving a safety-first culture across shifts and teams. Experience with Maximo CMMS is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical plant maintenance (ESP/AHP/BOP).
• Knowledge of PM, CMMS and safety procedures.
• Ability to analyze maintenance data and reduce downtime.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure availability of critical spare material to minimize breakdown time and maximize availability of plant. Prepare VED analysis of spare
• Technical clearance about the equipment
• Prepare concern area maintenance budget.
• Optimization of budget. Ensure minimization of costs through continuous monitoring and analysis of maintenance practice in concern area.
• Planning and execution of annual overhauling of ESP/AHP & BOP areas electrical system within time frame.
• Ensure zero accident goal.
• Implementation of Safety culture among subordinates and team members.
• Identify safety observation and Implementation of Hazard & near miss reporting.

4.100% completion of safety observations.

• Safety violation –NIL
• Ensure compliance of permit-to-work (PTW) system/ LOTO system to ensure zero accident.
• Provide safety training for every employee/contractor employee by safety deptt.
• Tool box talk meeting with team members (technician) to ensure safe and quality maintenance work.

• To carry out breakdown maintenance as per Maintenance Instruction of OEM and restore the equipment/system in the minimum possible time.
• Testing of transformers/Relays/Breaker/switchgear/motor for ensuring healthiness of equipments.
• Readiness of standard maintenance Procedures (SMPs) and philosophies/ maintenance policies/ spare policies.
• Maintain minimum lux level of illumination system in ESP/AHP & BOP.
• Maintain AC system of concern areas.
• Daily maintenance schedule execution as per Maximo.
• Motivate team members for energy conservation, good maintenance practices and safety practices etc.
• RCA analysis of electrical failure in concern areas.
• Prepare Modification requests for batter system reliability and availability of electrical equipment.
• Knowledge sharing via various training events.
• Attend > 95 SR raised by Operation Deptt.
• Provide Facilitation to Mech/civil/C&I/CHP deptt for electrical supply/lighting/EOT/Hoist/Lift/AC/thermography in concern area.
• Attend trouble shooting for smooth operation of concern areas.
• Attend & conduct Knowledge sharing (Training program) to develop self/team members. Target- 4 Days/Year
• Attend external training Technical/Non-technical for development of skill.
• Provide safe work practice training for isolation of feeder to operation deptt to ensure zero accident during isolation of feeder. 4 days/ year for each shift
• Facilitating adequate training (both on and off the job) and encouraging the fulfillment of goals.
• Attend safety training conducted by safety Deptt.
