Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. is seeking a skilled engineer to manage machining programs and supplier development. The role includes establishing parameters for VMC, CNC, HMC, VTL and SPM, ensuring first time right PSW/PPAP, and driving APQP milestones with suppliers.

You will coordinate with suppliers, track project material flow, and optimize RM usage while improving process times and quality through MSA studies and PPAP sign-offs.

Qualifications

• Setting machining process parameters for production.
• Prepare and examine required fixtures, tools & gauges design & ensure development per quality requirements.
• Establishing the machining program and parameters for VMC, CNC, HMC, VTL, SPM.
• Supplier capacity assessment and ramp up to the required rate of production.
• Ensure first time right development and quality for the part/product.
• Execute required processes at supplier in casting, Machining, Measuring & Test equipment.
• Prepare production and quality documents viz. Process flow diagram, Control Plans, FMEA and conduct MSA studies at supplier.
• Ensure first time right PSW and PPAP.
• Assessing the part development and supplier as per APQP gateways and milestones.
• Handholding suppliers and partnering to fulfil APQP milestones / project milestones and time lines.
• Tracking supplies per project volume requirement till handover to Supply Chain for outsourced BOM parts.
• Liaising for PSW/PPAP handover and sign off to SQA.
• Identify opportunities for RM optimization & weight optimization.
• Alternate development through RM change.
• Process optimization and process elimination or reassessment.
• Process split up & cycle time improvements.

Responsibilities

• Handholding suppliers and act as a partner ensuring development fulfilment as per APQP milestones / project milestones and time lines.
• Tracking of supplies as per project volume requirement as per business plan till the handover of the parts to Supply Chain for the outsourced BOM parts of different commodities.
• Act as a Liaoning partner for the smooth handover and sign off of the PSW/PPAP documents and handover to the SQA.
• Identify opportunities for RM Optimization & weight optimization.
• Alternate development through RM change.
• Process optimization and process elimination or re-assessment.
• Process Split Up & Cycle time improvements.
