We believe in treating employees and vendors as partners in progress, as they are our most important asset. We encourage team work, continuous learning and an environment that recognises and rewards high performance standards and integrity. We rely heavily on technology to drive our people and processes - we are nearly paperless and cashless.
We invite you to join us in the exciting future that we see for us and our employees.
Your job is to generate and deliver new business from leads shared with you, respond to enquiries from B2B customers by submitting quotations and nurture existing customer relationships to generate repeat business. You will have end-to-end responsibility - developing leads and opportunities, winning orders and delivering high-quality transportation services to the customers, ensuring complete customer satisfaction. You will work under the supervision of a Key Account Manager, who will guide and mentor you to achieve your goals.
As the company uses technology extensively, you should be computer-literate and have knowledge of how to use various desktop and mobile apps (including ERP systems, GPS systems, dashboards etc.).
You must either already know or be able to learn the road transportation business with trailers and trucks very quickly.
You job will involve meeting prospective customers, building relationships, identifying and analysing transportation requirements, generating formal enquiries, quoting, negotiations, arranging vehicles from the market and ensuring that the required material is delivered well and on time. Therefore, you will have to deal with customers, brokers, fleet owners etc. You should also become familiar with industry terms such as low-bed / high-bed / 2-axle / 3-axle vehicles, FTL, ODC and so on.
You will need to ensure the best possible margins and grow PBL's business multifold in the area / region assigned to you. The work will need you to engage in extensive field work to visit customers and vendors, conduct surveys of goods to be moved as well as routes etc. and should be well prepared for this.
