Job summary

Hexr Factory in Chennai is seeking an AssociateStoryboard Artist to turn scripts and briefs into clear, production-ready storyboards. This hands-on pre-production role requires strong visual storytelling and the ability to translate ideas into shots and timing.

You will collaborate with editors, 3D artists and designers, define framing and pacing, and deliver clean handoffs on schedule. A solid portfolio and 3–5 years in storyboarding or related pre-production work are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in storyboarding, animatics, visual development or comparable pre-production work.
• Strong portfolio or reel showing clear visual storytelling, shot composition, continuity, pacing and action.
• Working proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and relevant tools such as Toon Boom Storyboard Pro, Adobe Illustrator, Krita, Procreate and After Effects.
• Able to work from detailed scripts and rough briefs, communicate clearly, and organise own work and revisions.
• Comfortable working from our Chennai office in a full-time role.

• Define framing, screen direction, camera movement, action, continuity, transitions and pacing.
• Match visuals to script or narration; flag ambiguous, missing or impractical directions before production.
• Prepare clean handoffs for video editors, animators, 3D artists, project managers, writers and instructional designers.
• Maintain versions, incorporate consolidated feedback accurately and meet agreed delivery dates.
• Support storyboard revisions through the production cycle.

ROLE: ASSOCIATE STORYBOARD ARTIST

Create clear, production-ready visual plans from scripts, learning content, client briefs and creative direction. This is a hands‑on pre-production role for someone who can turn intent into shots, timing and hand‑offs—not just polished illustrations.
