Job summary

Light & Wonder in Pune Yerwada is seeking an Associate Software QA Engineer to ensure software products work as intended through rigorous testing and thorough bug tracking using JIRA. The role focuses on early detection of issues in games and applying standard QA processes to document test results.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of software testing experience, strong knowledge of test methodologies, and solid communication skills for reporting across global teams.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of software testing experience.
• Proficient understanding of software test methodologies/procedures and the overall product development lifecycle
• Execute test scripts and accurately report status of feature and/or game through scripted and adhoc tests
• Ability to juggle a variety of tasks, and work in ambiguity on complex problems.
• Strong technical knowledge of computers/mobile devices and ability to effectively troubleshoot computers/mobile devices.
• Experience in writing test scenarios, executing test cases and defect logging
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Utilize debug, admin, and external software tools to diagnose, reproduce and identify issues.
• Reproduce issues, when necessary, to assist software development in resolving issues.
• Communicate with different stakeholders globally.
• Generate status reports, documentation, and other low-level reports for supervisors.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Required Experience

1-2 years of software testing experience.

Proficient understanding of software test methodologies/procedures and the overall product development lifecycle

• Hands on experience in QTest and JIRA
• Game Testing experience
• Web/Mobile testing experience
• Good to have experience of working on production incidents
• Experience within a highly collaborative environment working with various disciplines including engineering, design, and art.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
