A leading provider of HR Tech solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their dynamic team in Bengaluru, India. This role involves executing manual and exploratory testing, working on cloud-native platforms, and building automation scripts. The ideal candidate has a background in software testing, programming knowledge in JavaScript or TypeScript, and is familiar with tools like Selenium. Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases for UI, API, and user workflows.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases.
• Document clear bug reports and collaborate with developers.

• Work closely with developers and product partners to understand story details and test requirements.

• Engage in team learning sessions and internal quality improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

Technical Foundations

• Basic programming knowledge (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred, or similar).
• Understanding of software testing concepts across UI, API, and integration.
• Exposure to automation tools (WebdriverIO, Playwright, Selenium, etc.) through projects or coursework is a plus.

Manual Testing Skills

• Familiarity with writing test cases, test plans, and defect documentation.
• Understanding of functional testing, regression testing, and user‑flow validation from academic or internship experience.

Tooling & Engineering Basics

• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM).
• Awareness of CI/CD principles is beneficial.

Ways of Working
