Job summary

gea is seeking a qualified professional to manage tablet compression machine installation, commissioning and maintenance at customer sites. The role requires hands-on experience with electrical/instrumentation, pneumatic controls and the ability to read mechanical drawings and P&IDs.

Frequent travel (70-80%) to client locations is expected; strong communication and teamwork are essential. Responsibilities include training, aftersales support, and assisting with FATs and on-call troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in installation, commissioning and maintenance of Tablet Compression Machines.
• Knowledge of electrical/instrumentation, pneumatic controls and mechanical erection.
• PLC-operated machinery knowledge is an advantage.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, P&ID, GA drawings, and electrical schematics.
• ATEX hazardous locations knowledge is desirable but not required.
• Must generate reports and paperwork during execution and after completion of project.
• Coordinate with service supervisor, project manager and customer staff to complete projects efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Tablet Compression Machines, including installation, commissioning and qualification at customer sites.
• Provide training and maintenance for pharma equipment at customer locations.
• Travel to customer sites; estimated 70-80% travel.
• Support aftersales activities, participate in FAT, and assist with phone support during breakdowns.

Job description

Responsibilities / Tasks

• Candidate should have well versed experience in Tablet Compression Machine Operation, trouble shooting, Maintenance, Installation, Qualification etc...
• This candidate will be responsible for installation, commissioning, qualification, training, and maintenance of pharmaceuticals equipment - Tablet Compression Machine at the customer's location.
• Estimated travel will be approximately 70-80%
• The candidate should also provide support for aftersales activities, in-house workshop activities during customer FAT, phone support during equipment breakdown & correspondence with customer at different stage of the project

Your Profile / Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in installation. Commissioning & maintenance of Tablet Compression Machines.
• Should have in depth knowledge of installation, commissioning & maintenance of the Tablet Compression with electrical/instrumentation, pneumatic controls & should have exposure on mechanical erection activities.
• Knowledge with PLC operated machineries will be added advantage.
• Must have to troubleshoot & resolve issues
• Should be able read & understand mechanical drawings, plant layout, GA drawings of equipment, P&ID diagram, Utility schedule, Electrical schematic drawing etc.
• Knowledge of ATEX hazardous locations is desirable but not required.
• The candidate must be able to generate reports & other required paperwork during execution & after completion of project
• Should be able to coordinate with Service in Charge/Supervisor, project manager & other staff at customer end to complete the on-going project efficiently
• Should be able to communicate English - verbal and written Excellent Team Player
• Must possess electrical/mechanical trouble shooting skills
• Working knowledge of Static/rotating machinery, pneumatics, hydraulics, and machine assembly
• Basic knowledge of electrical drives, industrial controls, and instrumentation
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics & mechanical drawings
