Job summary

Lemongrass Consulting in India is seeking an Associate Security Consultant to join our SAP Security managed services team. You will begin on the front line of security operations, handling user administration, role assignments, and initial authorisation analysis, with a clear path to independent L3 work as you grow your skills.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years SAP Security and Authorisations experience.
• Understanding of the SAP authorisation concept: users, roles, profiles, authorisation objects, and how they relate
• Practical experience of user administration in S/4HANA or ECC
• Familiarity with SU01, PFCG, SU53, SUIM and the basic authorisation toolset
• Excellent written and spoken English — you will be communicating with UK and EU client users in writing every day
• Well organised, with the discipline to keep ticket records accurate under volume
• Genuine interest in developing a specialist security career, rather than treating this as a stepping stone to a functional module

Responsibilities

• Handling first and second line SAP Security incidents and service requests within SLA
• User administration across S/4HANA, ECC and BTP: creation, amendment, locking, deletion, password and licence maintenance
• Assigning and removing roles in line with approved requests and documented standards
• First-line authorisation analysis using SU53, STAUTHTRACE and SUIM, working from established runbooks
• Processing access requests through SAP GRC Access Control and supporting firefighter (EAM) provisioning
• Running standard reports for user access reviews and audit evidence
• Supporting periodic access recertification campaigns — extractions, approver chasing, tracking and evidence collation
• Maintaining accurate ticket records: categorisation, time recording and clear resolution notes
• Escalating cleanly and early, with the diagnostic work already done
• Building and amending derived roles under supervision, then independently
• Taking on Fiori authorisation troubleshooting
• Growing into BTP security administration — IAS and IPS user and group provisioning
• Contributing to runbooks and knowledge articles
• Joining the on-call rota

Job Details and Responsibilities

Summary

This is the entry point into our SAP Security managed services team, and it is a genuine development role. You will start on the front line of the security queue — user administration, standard role assignments, first-line authorisation analysis — and we will invest in moving you towards independent L3 capability.

We are hiring for aptitude and trajectory as much as current skill. If you have solid SAP Security fundamentals and want to build depth in areas like BTP security and GRC, we will give you the structured exposure to do it.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Experience

• 1–3 years of SAP Security and Authorisations experience
• Understanding of the SAP authorisation concept: users, roles, profiles, authorisation objects, and how they relate
• Practical experience of user administration in S/4HANA or ECC
• Familiarity with SU01, PFCG, SU53, SUIM and the basic authorisation toolset

Desirable

• Any exposure to SAP BTP, IAS or IPS, however limited
• Exposure to SAP GRC Access Control
• Fiori authorisation basics
• Experience in a managed services, AMS or shared services environment working to SLAs
• ITIL foundation
• Awareness of SoD concepts
• Any SAP certification
