Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive invites applications for an Associate Scientist, Toxicology to join our Global Product Safety team in Mumbai on a hybrid shift. The role provides safety clearance reviews for product formulas and human use protocols to ensure regulatory compliance and consumer safety.

You will base in Mumbai and collaborate with a US-based team, supporting literature reviews, data management in the PDM system, and safety reports across product categories.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of toxicology experience in industry/consumer products.
• Experience in Product Safety/Toxicology with consumer products, medical devices, food, or pharma.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety clearance reviews for new product recipes (formulas), experimental formulas, and formulas in human use studies.
• Prepare Product Safety Reports and assist senior toxicologists with reviews for product registration safety letters and regulatory requests.
• Evaluate toxicological data and databases to conduct literature searches supporting new raw material safety assessments.
• Maintain Compliance Check values within Colgate’s Product Data Management (PDM) system.
• Work a shift position to overlap with the Global Product Safety team in Piscataway.

Brief introduction - Role Summary/Purpose

Are you ready to use your expertise in toxicology to safeguard our products and consumers globally? Joining the Global Product Safety team on ahybrid shift position in Mumbai, you will be providing essential safety support to Toxicologists in the Piscataway office. This critical role involves demonstrating a broad knowledge of toxicology by performing safety clearance reviews for formulas, experimental recipes, and human use protocols to ensure compliance and consumer safety. You will be based inMumbaiand will operate on a shift schedule to overlap with the US-based team.

Responsibilities

Provide safety clearance reviews for new product recipes (formulas), experimental formulas, and formulas being tested in Clinical, Consumer, or Panel studies (Human Use Protocols).

Prepare Product Safety Reports and assist more senior toxicologists by performing formula reviews and comparisons necessary for product registration safety letters and regulatory requests.

Evaluate toxicological and other scientific databases to conduct literature searches that support new raw material safety assessments.

Maintain Compliance Check values within Colgate’s Product Data Management (PDM) system.

Work a shift position to accommodate necessary working-hour overlap with the Global Product Safety team based in Piscataway.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Master's degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, or a related discipline.

Experience: Minimum 1 year of Toxicology Experience in Industry/consumer products.

Experience in Product Safety/Toxicology with a consumer products, medical device, food, or pharmaceutical company.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong English written and verbal communication skillsare required.

Demonstrated ability in Relationship BuildingandEffective Execution.

Experience in performing literature searches and evaluating toxicological and scientific databases.
