Job summary

Merck Life Science in Bengaluru, India, is seeking candidates for a hands-on laboratory role. The position involves executing experiments, recording data, and maintaining equipment within a fast-paced lab environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience with HPLC, GC, GCMS, LCMS and related analytical instrumentation, and holds an MSc in Chemistry/Biotech or a PhD. Work schedule: five days a week, shift 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Hands-on laboratory assays and analytical instrumentation handling.
• Accurate data recording and basic data analysis using software.
• Education: MSC Chemistry/Biotech or PhD.

Responsibilities

• Execute experiments and perform hands-on lab procedures under supervision.
• Record data meticulously and maintain laboratory notebooks.
• Maintain lab equipment and manage reagents inventory.
• Troubleshoot minor process deviations in experiments.
• Present data summaries in team meetings and contribute to reports.
• Follow safety and quality procedures per guidelines.

Your Role

• Execute Experiments: Perform hands‑on laboratory assays, synthesize compounds, or run biological/chemical procedures (e.g., LC/GC chromatography, Mass Spectrometry) following the instructions of Scientists And Senior Scientists
• Data Management & Analysis: Accurately record experimental data, maintain detailed laboratory notebooks, and use statistical or analytical software to interpret findings.
• Laboratory Maintenance: Maintain lab equipment, monitor instrument performance, manage inventory of reagents and supplies, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identify minor process deviations or technical hurdles in experiments and assist in troubleshooting under supervision.
• Collaboration & Reporting: Present data summaries in team meetings and contribute sections to technical reports or protocols
• Safety & Quality: Comply to the organization Safety & Quality procedures, ICH guidance knowledge in needed
