Job summary

Furlenco is seeking a Remanufacturing Associate to oversee refurbishment, repair, and quality control for returned furniture and appliances. You will ensure items meet quality standards while optimizing workflow and reducing waste.

Responsibilities include supervising remanufacturing, developing SOPs, managing the flow of returns, tracking performance, and mentoring staff to boost productivity. Safety and environmental compliance are also essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in remanufacturing, refurbishment, or production operations.
• Knowledge of furniture or appliance refurbishment processes is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the remanufacturing process, including inspection, repair, refurbishment, and quality assurance.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency in remanufacturing practices.
• Work closely to manage the flow of returned and refurbished items.
• Monitor and improve turnaround time for remanufacturing while maintaining high-quality output.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Train and mentor remanufacturing staff to enhance productivity and skill development.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities by optimizing material usage and reprocessing methods.
• Collaborate with procurement to source necessary spare parts and components.
• Maintain detailed records of refurbishment activities, materials used, and product quality assessments.
• Track & analyze production data to identify trends & areas for improvement.
• Generate reports on remanufacturing efficiency, cost reductions, and waste management.
