Job summary

Dentsu Global Services (DGS) in Pune invites a Lead QA to ensure software aligns with client requirements and quality standards within the release cycle. The role focuses on leading QA initiatives to optimize test approaches and tools.

Key responsibilities include defining QA scope, designing test plans, and mentoring a small QA team, while leveraging DWH testing, SQL, and ETL knowledge to drive quality across complex data projects.

Qualifications

• Min 6 and max upto 10 years in QA.
• Experience in DWH and Database testing.
• Proficiency in SQL and ETL testing.
• Ability to translate requirements into test cases.
• Knowledge of data warehousing principles.
• Azure cloud experience preferred.
• Experience with JIRA and Agile.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define scope and objectives of all levels of QA testing.
• Write test plans, design test cases, develop test SQL scripts, test conditions, test procedures and expected results.
• Actively participate in test planning by identifying testing requirements, scope and estimates.
• Ensure optimal test coverage comprising of positive, negative and exception scenarios.
• Logs defects with right priority, tracking them to closure and understanding the root cause for an issue. Work on DWH / Database testing.
• Perform all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Validate fixes and ensure follow through to all test cycles.
• Investigate and recommend remediation strategies for data quality conditions, and process failures.
• Communicate test status to internal project team and clients(s).
• Develop and contribute best practices and standards for a solution or across multiple medium/large scale projects/accounts.
• Mentor a team of 2 to 3 QA Associates.
