Job summary

Wipro in Chennai is seeking a product manager to shape the product vision, strategy and multi-year roadmap for our mortgage/property valuation platform. You will partner with the Product Manager and analyze market trends to keep the roadmap relevant.

You will define capabilities across the appraisal lifecycle, collaborate with UX teams, ensure regulatory alignment, and drive AI-assisted features with human oversight.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of product management/ownership experience in relevant domain.
• Experience in mortgage tech or property appraisal is preferred.
• Experience with product discovery, roadmaps, prioritization, UX, Agile development.
• Understanding of AI/ML, data platforms, workflow automation and APIs.
• Bachelor's degree; MBA is desirable. Appraiser certification is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

• Partner with the Product Manager to define the product vision, strategy, positioning, and multi-year roadmap.
• Monitor mortgage, property valuation, regulatory, AI, and competitive trends and continuously evolve the roadmap to maintain product relevance and differentiation.
• Conduct market, customer and competitor analysis to identify unmet needs, whitespace opportunities, and emerging valuation models.

Domain & Product Capabilities

• Develop strong understanding of the end-to-end appraisal ecosystem involving lenders, AMCs, appraisers, property data collectors, reviewers, investors/GSEs and borrowers.
• Define capabilities across the appraisal lifecycle, including:
• Appraisal ordering, assignment and vendor management
• Traditional, desktop and hybrid appraisals
• Property Data Collection (PDC)
• AVM and alternative valuation workflows
• Appraiser mobile/field experience
• Property data, images, comparable-sales and market-data management
• Appraisal report generation and review
• QC, exception management and reconsideration workflows
• Appraisal fraud, anomaly and manipulation detection
• Collateral analytics and risk assessment
• Billing, invoicing and SLA management
• APIs and integrations with LOS, servicing, data providers, AMCs and other mortgage ecosystem platforms

AI & Innovation

• Define AI-assisted capabilities such as intelligent appraisal review, comparable-property analysis, report summarization, anomaly detection, workflow automation and appraisal quality/risk assessment.
• Ensure AI solutions incorporate appropriate human oversight, explainability, traceability and responsible-AI principles.

UX & Customer Experience

• Work with UX/design teams to define intuitive experiences for appraisers, AMCs, lenders, reviewers, administrators and other ecosystem participants.
• Simplify complex appraisal workflows through intelligent recommendations, automation and persona-specific experiences.
• Participate in customer discovery, usability testing, pilots and feedback programs.

Compliance & Platform Governance

• Translate applicable U.S. and Canadian regulatory, privacy, security, appraisal-independence and data-governance requirements into product capabilities.
• Ensure requirements for auditability, data lineage, access control, privacy, explainability and evidence retention are incorporated into platform design.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, risk, security and domain experts as regulations and industry standards evolve.

Preferred Credentials

• 7–10 years of experience in product management, product ownership, strategy, or enterprise platform development related to Property Appraisals
• Experience in mortgage technology, property appraisal/valuation, collateral management, real estate technology, or adjacent FinTech domains strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with product discovery, roadmaps, feature prioritization, UX, market analysis and Agile product development.
• Understanding of AI/ML, GenAI, data platforms, workflow automation and API-driven enterprise platforms.
• Familiarity with AVMs, appraisal workflows, AMCs, property data, valuation analytics, appraisal QC or mortgage LOS ecosystems is desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Finance or related discipline. MBA or equivalent product/business qualification is desirable.
• Any Appraiser certification is a plus
