Job summary

Arrow Associates Infrastructure Private Limited seeks an experienced HVAC Design Lead to manage design from concept to IFC, delivering climate control solutions for residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects in India.

You will coordinate with Architecture, Structural, Electrical, BMS, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting teams, review BIM models in Revit MEP and Navisworks, resolve clashes, and ensure compliant IFC drawings and authority approvals.

Qualifications

• Lead HVAC design from concept to IFC stage with multiple systems.
• Experience with ECBC, ISHRAE, NBC, BIS and GCC/MEA standards.
• Proficiency in BIM coordination using Revit MEP and Navisworks.
• Prepare HVAC specs, BOQs, cost estimates and tender drawings.
• Coordinate with Architecture, Structural, Electrical, BMS, Plumbing and Fire Fighting.
• Mentor engineers and QA/QC processes.

Responsibilities

Lead HVAC design from concept to IFC stage. Design chilled water systems (air & water cooled), DX and VRF/VRV systems, AHUs, FAHUs, FCUs, ventilation & exhaust systems, pressurization systems, smoke management, and car park jet fan systems. Perform cooling & heating load calculations, ventilation calculations, duct sizing, pipe sizing, and pump head calculations.

Codes & Standards – India

NBc, ECBC, ISHRAE guidelines, BIS standards, and local development authority requirements.

Codes & Standards – Gulf

Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, ADM, Estidama, SBC, QCDD, DCRP local authority codes in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman.

Sustainability & Energy Efficiency

Implement energy-efficient HVAC solutions complying with ECBC, GRIHA, LEED, Estidama, and GSAS. Coordinate HVAC inputs for energy modelling and life-cycle cost optimization.

Design Coordination & BIM

Coordinate HVAC design with Architecture, Structural, Electrical, BMS, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting disciplines. Review and manage HVAC BIM models using Revit MEP and Navisworks. Resolve clashes and ensure coordinated IFC drawings.

Authority Approvals

Prepare HVAC submissions for Municipality and Civil Defence. Attend meetings with clients, PMCs, and authorities. Respond to authority review comments and obtain approvals.

Technical Review & QA/QC

Review HVAC calculations, drawings, and reports prepared by team members. Ensure compliance with design intent, codes, and client standards. Maintain HVAC design templates and QA/QC checklists.

Prepare and review HVAC technical specifications, BOQs, cost estimates, tender drawings, and schedules. Support value engineering proposals.

Construction Support (Design)

Review contractor shop drawings and material submittals. Respond to RFIs and provide design clarifications. Support testing, commissioning, and TAB activities.

Act as HVAC Design Lead. Mentor HVAC engineers and BIM teams. Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and act as final technical authority for HVAC design decisions.
