Role Overview
We are looking for an Associate Partner Onboarding to support the end-to-end onboarding of external business partners into the organizations B2B/EDI integration environment. The role will work closely with internal application, integration, infrastructure, network, business, and partner teams to ensure that new partners are onboarded successfully and existing partner integrations are maintained efficiently.
The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of EDI, B2B integrations, file-based integrations, partner connectivity, data mapping, and testing processes. Experience with platforms such as Seeburger BIS, SAP, or similar B2B integration platforms is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
1. Partner Onboarding
- Support the end-to-end onboarding of new trading partners.
- Collect and validate partner onboarding requirements, specifications, and technical documents.
- Coordinate with partners to obtain required connectivity, EDI, mapping, certificate, and business information.
- Create and maintain partner onboarding trackers and documentation.
- Ensure partner requirements are clearly documented before implementation begins.
- Coordinate partner onboarding activities across development, UAT, and production environments.
2. B2B / EDI Integration Support
- Support EDI and B2B integration activities involving formats such as EDI X12, EDIFACT, XML, CSV, IDoc, and flat files.
- Understand basic EDI transaction sets such as:
- 850 Purchase Order
- 855 – Purchase Order Acknowledgment
- 856 – Advance Shipping Notice
- 810 – Invoice
- 846 – Inventory
- 852 – Product Activity/Data
- Assist in analyzing inbound and outbound transactions and identifying integration issues.
- Validate message structure, partner identifiers, control numbers, and required business data.
- Assist with troubleshooting failed or rejected transactions.
3. Seeburger / B2B Platform Activities
- Assist with partner configuration within the B2B integration platform.
- Support configuration of:
- Trading Partner Agreements (TPAs)
- Partner IDs
- Communication channels
- Routing rules
- Maps
- Profiles
- File processing parameters
- Assist with configuring and validating inbound and outbound partner flows.
- Monitor partner transactions and processing status.
- Coordinate with the platform/support teams for issues requiring advanced technical assistance.
4. Connectivity Coordination
- Coordinate connectivity setup with external partners and internal infrastructure/network teams.
- Support connectivity testing for protocols such as:
- SFTP
- AS2
- BIS INK
- FTPS
- HTTPS
- VAN
- Other B2B communication protocols
- Assist with certificate exchange, validation, renewal, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate connectivity testing across UAT and Production environments.
- Document connectivity parameters and partner communication details.
5. Mapping and Testing
- Coordinate mapping requirements between partner specifications and internal application formats.
- Work with mapping/development teams to clarify transformation requirements.
- Review sample files and validate expected input/output structures.
- Prepare test cases and test scenarios for partner onboarding.
- Coordinate unit testing, connectivity testing, SIT, UAT, and production validation.
- Track defects and coordinate resolution with appropriate technical teams.
- Validate successful end-to-end processing before production deployment.
6. Production Deployment
- Support production onboarding activities and deployment coordination.
- Ensure all required approvals, change requests, configurations, and implementation documents are completed.
- Coordinate production connectivity testing with partners and internal teams.
- Perform post-production validation of transactions.
- Monitor the initial production transactions and coordinate resolution of any issues.
7. Incident and Issue Management
- Monitor B2B transactions and identify failed, delayed, or rejected messages.
- Perform initial troubleshooting and determine the appropriate support team.
- Analyze error messages, logs, timestamps, transaction IDs, and file information.
- Coordinate with L2/L3/L4 support, network, application, and infrastructure teams when required.
- Maintain incident and issue documentation.
- Communicate status and resolution updates to stakeholders and partners.
8. Documentation
- Maintain partner onboarding documentation and technical specifications.
- Create and maintain:
- Partner onboarding documents
- Connectivity details
- Mapping specifications
- Test cases
- Test results
- Production implementation plans
- Support documentation
- Keep partner configuration and integration documentation up to date.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of EDI and B2B integration concepts.
- Knowledge of EDI transaction sets such as 850, 855, 856, 810, 846, and 852.
- Understanding of inbound and outbound integration flows.
- Basic knowledge of file formats such as XML, CSV, flat files, and JSON.
- Basic understanding of FTP/SFTP/AS2 connectivity.
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to understand technical specifications and partner implementation guides.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work with multiple teams and manage onboarding activities simultaneously.
- Good documentation and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Seeburger BIS or another B2B/EDI integration platform.
- Knowledge of SAP IDocs and SAP integration.
- Experience with EDI mapping and transformation.
- Knowledge of X12 and EDIFACT standards.
- Understanding of certificates and secure B2B communication.
- Experience with production deployments and change management.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar incident/change management tools.
- Basic SQL knowledge is a plus.
- Basic scripting/programming knowledge is a plus.
