Job summary

Boeing India Private Limited is seeking an Associate Materials & Process Engineer to support the Materials & Manufacturing Technology Integration (MMTI) team in Bengaluru. You will work on advanced manufacturing technologies across composites, metals, wire harnesses, and finishes, reviewing drawings and responding to airline queries.

Ideal candidates hold a technical bachelor's degree with 1–3 years in aerospace, and have experience reviewing drawings and process specs, with exposure to Boeing

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology relevant to work statement.
• 1+ year of shop floor experience in Assembly / machining / finishes, preferably in aerospace.
• 1+ year experience in reviewing Engineering drawings and process specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering activities in Materials, Process & Physics for Boeing programs.
• Review drawings, part lists, process specifications; determine requirements.
• Evaluate industry specs for materials and suggest alternates to Boeing specs.
• Provide technical guidance to Boeing suppliers on structural assembly & machining.
• Evaluate and test emerging technologies for potential application.
• Support Boeing Engineering Qualifications.
• Note: Boeing will not sponsor employment visas.

Position Overview

The Global Technology team in Bangalore has an immediate opening for an Associate Materials & Process Engineer to support the Materials & Manufacturing Technology Integration team (MMTI). The team is responsible for developing and implementing advanced manufacturing technologies and processes into the production systems for Boeing. The team works in the following technical areas associated with production processes: composites and composite part fabrication, metals and detail part fabrication, wire harness fabrication, corrosion and finishes, fasteners and assembly processes. The team also provides Engineering support such as reviewing the drawings and responding to Airlines customer queries.

Position Responsibilities

• Performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Materials, Process & Physics for various Boeing Programs.
• Review of Boeing Drawings, part lists, process specifications, substitution list and determine the Engineering requirements in the area of Materials, Process & Physics.
• Evaluate various Industry specification for materials and suggest alternates to Boeing specification.
• As required provide Technical guidance to Boeing suppliers in the area of structural Assembly & machining.
• Evaluate and test the emerging technologies in the area of structural Assembly & machining for potential application to business needs.
• Supporting Boeing Engineering Qualifications.
• Employers will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Chemical Engineering and Aerospace), or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
• 1+ year of shop floor experience in Assembly / machining / finishes / preferably in aerospace Company.
• 1+ year experience in reviewing Engineering drawing, process specification.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Should be able to communicate with suppliers and provide technical support by responding to their queries during on‑site visits.
• Exposure to Boeing specifications (D documents, BACs, BSSs, BMS) and how to navigate them is desired.
• Typical Education & Experience: Technical Bachelor's degree with typically 1-3 years related work experience.
• Master's degree preferred but not a requirement.
