Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking a motivated FP&A Analyst to join the Data & Analytics Finance team. The role supports planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis to deliver timely financial insights for business leaders.

You will work with Finance Business Partners, Cost Centre Managers, HR and Controllership to support monthly cycles, workforce planning and performance analysis, building strong commercial and analytical capabilities in a global organisation.

Qualifications

  • Support monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and strategic planning exercises.
  • Assist in the preparation of workforce plans, including headcount, hiring, attrition, and vacancy analysis.
  • Maintain financial planning models and planning templates.
  • Analyze forecast variances and identify risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Produce monthly financial reports and dashboards covering: Operating Expenses (Opex), Staff Costs, External Workforce, Headcount Metrics, Cost of Sales.
  • Assist in preparing executive review packs and management presentations.
  • Perform variance analysis against Budget, Forecast, and Prior Year.
  • Track employee movements, plan transfers, organisational changes, and cost centre updates.
  • Support headcount reconciliations between financial and HR systems.
  • Monitor staff costs and provide insights on key cost drivers.
  • Support workforce planning reviews with business stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Finance Business Partners to provide financial insights and analysis.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests from leadership teams and functional stakeholders.
  • Help identify opportunities for cost optimisation and process improvements.
  • Support reporting activities across tools such as Workday, EPM, Pyramid, Power BI, and Excel.

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated FP&A Analyst to join the Data & Analytics Finance team. The role will support financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis activities across D&A functions, helping business leaders make informed decisions through timely financial insights. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance Business Partners, Cost Centre Managers, HR, and Controllership teams to support the monthly management cycle, workforce planning processes, and financial performance analysis. Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Forecasting
  • Support monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and strategic planning exercises.

  • Assist in maintaining data quality and improving reporting accuracy.
  • Contribute to automation and standardization initiatives.
