Job summary

Carrier seeks a Category Associate Manager to provide analytical, commercial, and governance support to the Global Category Leader(s) and to execute global category strategies through negotiations, contract renewals, and cost‑reduction initiatives in a fast‑paced, global matrix organization.

The role interfaces with regional teams, delivers spend analysis and dashboards, and supports pricing, governance, and supplier reviews across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field.
• 12-15 years of experience in category management, direct strategic sourcing, source to contract
• Have strong exposure to global suppliers
• Experience supporting global or regional sourcing teams in a matrix organization.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of global category strategies by delivering spend analysis, market intelligence, dashboards, and executive‑level insights.
• Support global and regional negotiations through cost models, benchmarks, and structured negotiation preparation, track contract renewals and compliance.
• Identify, size, and track cost‑reduction and productivity opportunities; support AOP commitments and savings validation with finance.
• Manage category council governance, including meeting cadence, materials, action tracking, and supplier/QBR review preparation.
• Partner with regional sourcing and cross‑functional teams to ensure consistent execution of global category strategies across regions.
