Job summary

Adani Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Project professional for large-scale Thermal Power Plant projects. You will lead electrical construction, supervision of switchgear and transformers, and ensure compliance with drawings and standards.

The role covers planning, testing, commissioning, and safety at site. You will coordinate with OEMs and contractors, manage vendor interactions, monitor milestones, and contribute to commissioning and startup activities.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering required.
  • M.Tech in Power Systems is an added advantage.
  • 8-13 years of relevant experience in electrical project execution, testing, commissioning and switchyard works.

Responsibilities

  • Electrical construction and installation activities for Thermal Power Plant projects.
  • Supervise erection of Transformers, HT/LT Switchgear, MCCs, PCCs, Bus Ducts, Cable Systems, Earthing & Lighting.
  • Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specs, and standards.
  • Monitor progress and milestones.
  • Plan and execute pre-commissioning, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate with OEMs, consultants, contractors, and commissioning teams.
  • Test power transformers, switchgear, motors, protection systems, cables, and switchyard equipment.
  • Support unit synchronization and plant startup.
  • Manage erection and commissioning of AIS/GIS switchyards.
  • Ensure commissioning of power evacuation systems, protection schemes, and control systems.
  • Oversee electrical interfaces between generation and transmission.
  • Review project schedules and resource deployment.
  • Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, C&I, Planning, and Quality teams.
  • Identify risks, bottlenecks, and mitigation plans.
  • Track progress and provide MIS updates.
  • Monitor contractor productivity, quality, and safety compliance.
  • Verify measurement sheets, work completion reports, and contractor bills.
  • Coordinate with vendors/OEMs for installation, testing, troubleshooting, commissioning support.
  • Ensure safety adherence and promote zero-accident objectives.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures at site.
  • Participate in audits and safety reviews.

Education

Diploma / B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
M.Tech (Power Systems) will be an added advantage

Job description

  • Support unit synchronization and plant startup activities.
Switchyard & Power Distribution Systems
  • Manage erection and commissioning of AIS/GIS switchyards.
  • Ensure successful commissioning of power evacuation systems, protection schemes, and control systems.
  • Oversee electrical interfaces between generation and transmission systems.
Project Planning & Control
  • Review project schedules and ensure timely resource deployment.
  • Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, C&I, Planning, and Quality teams.

Education and Exp.
