Job summary

Danfoss Chennai is seeking an Associate Electrical Laboratory Manager to oversee our electrical test infrastructure, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient laboratory operations that support product development and validation.   • Manage laboratory operations, risk mitigation activities, and budget planning to support performance and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and empower a laboratory team while promoting safety, technical capability, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence.

You will lead laboratory operations, drive equipment availability, and create an environment where testing teams can perform at their best. By balancing technical expertise, operational excellence, and people leadership, you will help maximize the value and performance of a strategically important laboratory.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead the operation and development of electrical test infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient laboratory performance.
  • Drive equipment uptime through calibration planning, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and proactive issue resolution.

What We're Looking For
  • Strong expertise in electrical systems such as transformers, motors, switchgear, cables, feeders, drives, and related test infrastructure.
  • Experience leading laboratory operations and improving equipment reliability, calibration programs, and maintenance practices.
  • Knowledge of control systems and industrial automation technologies, including PLC-?or DCS-based environments and variable frequency drives.
  • Understanding of laboratory quality and compliance frameworks, including calibration processes and relevant industry standards.
  • Proven stakeholder management, communication, project management, and people leadership skills with the ability to drive improvements across teams.
