Product Designer I / Associate III – Product Design

Role Overview

We are seeking a Product Designer I / Associate III – Product Design to create intuitive, accessible, and engaging digital products and experiences that place users at the centre while delivering measurable business value.

The role involves partnering with Product, Technology, Business, Research, and Design teams to translate customer needs, business objectives, and product vision into scalable, meaningful design solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise across Human-Centred Design, Service Design, UX/UI, Interaction Design, Visual Design, and Prototyping, with the ability to solve complex problems across multiple digital platforms and touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and contribute to Human-Centred Design (HCD) and Service Design activities, including customer journeys, empathy maps, personas, experience maps, service blueprints, and other relevant design artefacts.
• Translate user needs, business requirements, and product strategy into clear user flows, interaction models, wireframes, prototypes, and end-to-end experiences.
• Create interaction and visual designs for diverse digital touchpoints, including websites, mobile applications, kiosks, wearables, games, and emerging interfaces.
• Develop compelling digital experiences that align with brand guidelines, visual identity, design principles, and brand voice.
• Produce low‑and high‑fidelity designs, interactive prototypes, MVP concepts, beta experiences, and production‑ready interfaces.
• Design scalable UI components and UX specifications in alignment with Design Systems, Design Language Systems (DLS), accessibility standards, and brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Business Stakeholders, Researchers, and Designers throughout the product lifecycle.
• Manage and contribute to multiple complex design initiatives, balancing customer needs, business priorities, technical feasibility, and brand requirements.
• Use research, usability findings, analytics, and design exploration to identify opportunities and continuously improve digital products and experiences.
• Leverage Generative AI and emerging design technologies to accelerate ideation, exploration, content generation, prototyping, and design workflows.
• Present design concepts, rationale, and recommendations through design reviews, workshops, presentations, and storytelling.
• Advocate for user needs and design quality while contributing to a culture of collaboration, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Product Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Service Design, Visual Communication, New Media Design, Universal Design, Digital Design, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of professional experience in digital, UX, UI, or product design.
• Strong hands‑on experience in Human-Centred Design and Service Design, with a demonstrated ability to apply these methodologies to real‑world product challenges.
• Proven experience designing digital products, platforms, and end‑to‑end customer experiences.
• Strong understanding of visual design fundamentals, including colour, typography, composition, hierarchy, grids, layout, and visual storytelling.
• Experience creating micro‑interactions, visual transitions, motion design, dynamic interactions, and interactive UI elements.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, auto layout, prototyping, design systems, and collaborative design workflows.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and other industry‑standard design tools.
• Strong understanding of responsive design, usability, accessibility, cross‑browser compatibility, cross‑platform experiences, and front‑end development constraints.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and agile product teams, taking designs from initial concept through implementation.
• Excellent visual communication, storytelling, presentation, documentation, and organizational skills, with a strong eye for detail.
• Ability to articulate design decisions clearly and connect them to user needs, business objectives, and product outcomes.
• A strong design portfolio showcasing high‑quality digital/product design work is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience using Generative AI tools for ideation, design exploration, content generation, prototyping, and workflow optimization.
• Experience creating, maintaining, or contributing to Design Systems and Design Language Systems.
• Understanding of HTML/CSS and front‑end development principles, including the practical constraints involved in translating designs into production.
• Experience designing for multiple platforms and devices, including web, mobile, kiosks, wearables, and emerging technologies.
• Exposure to emerging technologies and their potential application in digital product and customer experiences.
• Experience working with complex products, ecosystems, or platforms involving multiple user groups and interconnected journeys.
