Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in India invites an Associate to join our GRID team within Performance Improvement. You will lead geospatial analytics projects for corporate and PE clients, shaping data-driven strategies across Telecom, Retail, Healthcare, Travel, and Hospitality.

You will develop, analyze, and apply geospatial data, build maps and dashboards, and collaborate with global teams. Candidates should have 1–5 years in geospatial analytics, an MBA or master’s, Python/SQL, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of relevant hands-on experience with geospatial analytics in a global consulting setting.
• MBA or Master’s from a top-tier institute.
• Strong knowledge of spatial models and algorithms.
• Proficiency in Geo Spatial Analytics tools (custom solutions, scenario modelling, large volume rendering, shapefile formats).
• Proficiency in technical skills (Python, SQL, Alteryx).
• Visualization tools: ArcGIS, QGIS, PowerBI, CARTO.
• Statistical analysis methods (Gradient Boost, Random Forest).
• Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for a global team.

How You Will Contribute

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Associate with a proven track record in developing new products & managing product‑led consulting delivery, leveraging Geospatial Analytics as part of our GRID team. This role involves overseeing the development, analysis, and application of geospatial data to drive strategic decision-making for our corporate and private equity clients. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in geospatial analytics with strong project management skills to deliver impactful solutions across various domains such as CAPEX Optimization, Go‑to‑market, Cost to serve, Market Attractiveness, White space opportunity, Competitive intensity etc. across multiple industries with focus on Telecom (Fiber, Tower and Data Centre), Retail, Healthcare, Travel and Hospitality etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Building a high performing global centre of excellence for geospatial analytics within Performance Improvement Practice
• Executing the collection, processing, and analysis of geospatial data using advanced GIS tools and methodologies
• Develop and maintain geospatial databases to ensure data integrity and accuracy
• Contribute to the creation of high‑quality maps and visualizations that effectively communicate data insights
• Support senior analysts in conducting spatial analyses and modelling
• Assist in implementing spatial analysis techniques such as distance calculations and spatial overlays
• Assist in managing GIS projects across various disciplines, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards

• Position A&M Global Capability Center as a thought partner within the firm for building new solutions and offerings
