Job summary

GMR Group in India is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead the design of Smart City and smart airport city master plan solutions. You will coordinate with internal teams, experts and consultants to ensure architecture aligns with business goals.

The role requires 15+ years in related domains, experience in large-scale integrations, and strong knowledge of data centers, networks, cloud, and security. You will anchor technical responses to RFIs and drive PoCs.

Qualifications

• 15+ years as a Solution Architect in Smart City domains.
• Experience with large-scale system integration in Smart City/IoT.
• Knowledge of data centers, networks, security and cloud.
• Experience designing architectures for CAPEX-heavy programs.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and finalization of the overall solution architecture for Smart City projects.

• Review design phases and ensure sound, installed, configured implementations.
• Drive PoC projects across solution areas.
• Anchor RFP responses from a technical perspective.

JOB PURPOSE

This Role is responsible for coordination and monitoring of conceptual and detailed implementable smart city plans along with internal team, experts and consultants shall also Monitor, review, coordinate with other teams. Develops ecosystem of technology partners and offerings for various smart airport cities solution/applications.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Monitor and support conceptual and detailed implementable smart airport city plans along with internal team, experts and consultants.
• ⢠own the design and finalization of overall solution architecture for Smart City projects across all areas of the smart airport city master plan
• ⢠Review and be the âÂÂownerâ of the design phase of the solution, as prepared by external consultants and participate in all discussions and meetings to verify that the design is sound, installed, configured and implemented correctly
• ⢠Work across internal departments to ensure that the solutions are fit for purpose, are technically leading edge and future proof and allow for scaling and replication in the future.
• ⢠Select, review and then drive Proof of Concept projects across the various solution areas as required

• ⢠Translate customer business issues/opportunities into technical solution/business requirements.
• ⢠Deliver successful Proof of Concept engagements that demonstrate solution outcome mapping to stakeholder and customer needs
• ⢠Anchor RFP response and proposals to the clients from a Technical perspective
• ⢠Develop and/or maintain expertise in Smart Airport City ecosystem
• â  Effectively support other departments with technical presentations
• â  Support Sales / BD / technical team members and train to bring them up to speed on the technical / complex strategic solutions in the Smart City master plan

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

The candidate must have 15+ years of experience in acting as a Solution Architect in the relevant domains

- The candidate must have good understanding of products and technologies used in Smart City projects

- The candidate must have experience in conceptualization, design and implementation of Solution Architecture for at least 3 large scale system integration projects in Smart City / Safe City / IOT / Critical Infrastructure Protection / eGovernance domains in the last 5 years

- Knowledge in various areas including data center, platforms, storage, database, web services, security, service desk, ITIL etc. and Network Security solutions like Firewall, IPS, VPN, would be required.

- Broad understanding and experience of real-time analytics, data modeling and management, analytical tools Open Source Big Data technologies etc.

- Hands-on-experience in solution design & network/solution architecture development experience with an exposure of large scale implementation, including Cloud, Security, IOT & ICT Applications and Data Centre solutions.

- Knowledge of software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, and testing

- In-depth technical and theoretical knowledge, and experience in solving highly complex architectural design problems.
