Job Purpose
To support strategic planning at HIAL through comprehensive business and economic research, analysis, and financial modelling, and to identify and execute key business initiatives that drive both strategic and operational goals.

Key Accountabilities
- Ensure timely completion of special assignments related to airport operations, financial planning, feasibility studies for preparing bids, etc., within defined timelines.
- Lead and manage the analysis of peak‑hour demand of all airport operation processes for optimum utilisation of resources and effective planning of engineering/aero/non‑aero and other related activities.
- Support the strategic planning process and facilitate the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) preparation for the company – finalisation of inputs for the plan by November.
- Prepare Environment Scan Reports, encapsulating external and internal factors impacting the airport ecosystem to present a holistic view of the company to senior management within defined timelines.
- Support and participate in the Cross‑Functional Teams (CFTs) to drive strategic initiatives and update top management on strategic initiatives through data analysis and alert on major developments – regular S.I. meetings by CFTs.
- Complete special assignments (time‑bound tasks from senior management, sector and corporate team related to policy advocacy, economic study and analysis) within defined timelines.
- Build capability for team members through training and review of their work – continuous process.
Finance Modelling, Support for Business & Top Management
- Support preparation of finance modelling/reports/analyses/business cases related to business requirements.
- Prepare presentations/management notes for conferences and external events/meetings as required to support CEO/Top Management.
- Prepare presentations and notes for policy advocacy and employee engagement efforts for ED and other top management.
- Provide input for analysing new business proposals and initiatives to support top‑management decision‑making.
- Ensure timely preparation of reports and presentations.
Special Assignments & Initiatives
- Drive activities at the business level as required for Corporate/Sector initiatives (e.g., data requests, preparation of applications for awards and other assigned activities).
- Complete the required number of initiatives.
- Perform air traffic data management to ensure provision of accurate, reliable and consistent statistical data covering all aspects of international civil aviation, achieving results such as:
- Timely preparation and validation of traffic data to meet strategic objectives.
- Coordination with airlines for data collection and dissemination.
- Timely preparation of statistical data for reporting to senior management, regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders.
- Supervision of development of tools and applications to facilitate data collection and dissemination with minimisation of associated costs.
- Preparation and release of the Annual Traffic Report for the company.
- Lead and manage traffic forecast activity in support of air transport planning, achieving results such as:
- Plan and initiate development of long‑term traffic forecast.
- Supervise annual production of mid‑term traffic forecasts, taking into account needs expressed by external stakeholders and internal users.
- Develop new or improved analytical methods and quantitative models for analysis.
External Interactions
- Airlines operating at Hyd Airport for timely availability of traffic data.
- Airports Authority of India for furnishing of Hyd traffic data and for obtaining information from them on AAI airports.
- DGCA, AERA, ACI, Fraport for furnishing traffic reports.
- External Consultants – KPMG, Auctus Advisors, E&Y, etc.
Internal Interactions
- CEO Office – for providing real‑time alerts; support on critical issues; support on traffic data analysis for presentations to multiple government agencies, stakeholder groups and other forums.
- Department Heads – for providing real‑time alerts; assisting in special projects and completion of strategic and tactical initiatives in a time‑bound manner.
- Cross‑Functional Team – participate as a member of CFT to drive key strategic initiatives.
- Regulatory Team, AOCC.

Education Qualifications
- Advanced level university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent from Premium colleges) with Engineering is preferred.
Relevant Experience
- Extensive experience (6–10 years) in progressively responsible positions with accountability for work related to aviation data, statistics, forecasting and/or economic analysis and planning, within a major international airport/airline.
- Proven ability to analyse information and statistical data quantitatively using econometrics, and conduct complex economic research.
- Substantial knowledge of aviation/traffic/financial statistics, with understanding of the relationships among the various statistical data used in civil aviation.
- Hands‑on experience on economic regulatory framework.
- Proficient with latest software (including business intelligence tools) and contemporary networks, as well as good knowledge of relational database techniques and software for statistical and economic analysis.
