Flex in Chennai seeks an Associate Financial Analyst for Cost Accounting Solutions to manage P&L postings, perform variance analysis, and support forecasting. The role involves working in a night shift from 5 PM to 2 AM, aligning postings with policy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve financial performance.

The candidate should have 1–3 years of related experience and a commerce-based degree, with CPA/CMA/CA/CGA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review P&L periodically to ensure postings align with policy.
• Research variances and post adjustments accurately.
• Collect business reasons for variances and report.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts with sub-ledger/manual schedules.
• Identify potential risks and mitigate them.
• Ensure close/reporting activities are planned and executed timely.
• Assist in Forecast/Budget preparation for related accounts.
• Collaborate with Operations to improve metrics.
• Familiar with Controllers Handbook and regulatory reporting requirements.

Job description

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, were looking to add a in Associate Financial Analyst Cost Accounting Solutions in Chennai.

What a typical day looks like:

• Perform periodic review of Profit and Loss (P&L) account to ensure that all the postings are done as per the defined Policy, Process and Procedures.
• Compare the Actual with Forecast / Quote and ensure that the variances are properly. researched and required adjustment postings are done in the books.
• Collect the business reasons for the remaining variances and report appropriately.
• Reconcile all the scoped Balance sheet accounts with sub ledger/manual schedule to identify the variance, if any and ensure that those variances are properly dealt in the books of accounts.
• Review the accounts on periodic basis to identify any potential risk and ensure that the same is mitigated properly.
• Ensure that all the book close related /reporting activities are properly planned and executed on timely basis with utmost accuracy.
• Work with relevant teams to prepare the Forecast / Budget for the related accounts.
• Work along with Operations team to improve the business / operational metrics.
• Be familiar with relevant Accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements in the Controllers Handbook and RCTS.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Typically requires a B. Com / B.C. S / M. Com / MBA /BBA/ BBM, any other commerce and Accounts Stream degrees.
• Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.
• A professional certification is preferred - A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), America Production Inventory Control Society (APICS), Chartered Accountant (CA), or a Certified General Accountant (CGA).
• Shift timings- 5 PM to 2 AM , night Shift.
