Job summary

Black & Veatch in Mumbai seeks an Assistant Engineering Technician — Instrumentation & Controls (Water/Wastewater) to support engineering teams. You will use CAD, BIM and 3D modeling to create, modify and maintain technical drawings and documentation.

Under close supervision, you will help evaluate methods, ensure quality per BV standards, and assist in coordinating deliverables with other groups to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Typically a minimum of 1 year related work experience.
• Must complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (e.g., criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search).

Responsibilities

• Continues to learn and apply BV standards, systems, document control and BV policies.
• Ensures deliverables are accurate and compliant by developing knowledge of the BV Quality Program.
• Demonstrates personal accuracy and supports continuous improvement and change management efforts.
• Broadens knowledge of applications required to modify and develop less complex deliverables from design inputs.
• May assist with minor computations such as material quantity estimates and dimensional checks.
• May assist in coordinating deliverables with other groups involved on the same project to minimize interference or errors.
• Focuses on the needs of internal clients while gaining basic understanding of external clients' interests and drivers.
• Proactively seeks and shares knowledge of latest technologies and processes

Job Summary

Under close supervision, provides technical support to engineering teams by performing tasks that require a basic understanding of engineering principles and practices. Utilizes digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) to assist in the creation, modification, and maintenance of technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables. Participates in the evaluation of methods used in the development of deliverables and design activities to support continuous improvement and efficiency.
