Job summary

Unisys is seeking a junior software developer in Bengaluru to participate in the design, development, testing, and deployment of AB Suite applications. You will build components, debug code, and contribute to documentation under senior guidance, while collaborating with global teams.

Ideal candidates have 0–3 years of experience in application development or maintenance, a basic grasp of SDLC and OO concepts, and familiarity with Agile practices.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree and 0-2 years’ relevant experience or equivalent.
• 0 to 3 years of experience in application development, support, testing, or maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of SDLC concepts and programming principles.
• Exposure to object-oriented programming concepts is desirable.
• Knowledge of databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, DMSII, or other relational databases.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, testing, and implementation of AB Suite applications.

What success looks like in this role:

Application Development

• Participate in the design, development, testing, and implementation of AB Suite applications.
• Develop, debug, and unit test application components under guidance from senior team members.

• Support L2/L3 application maintenance activities.

• Monitor application performance and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Learning & Collaboration

• Work closely with senior developers, technical leads, and business analysts.
• Participate in code reviews and team knowledge-sharing activities.
• Actively acquire and enhance knowledge of AB Suite, MCP, and related technologies.
• Participate in transition and knowledge acquisition activities when required.
• Collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams.

Quality & Process Excellence

• Develop unit tests and support system testing activities.
• Ensure compliance with secure coding and quality standards.
• Follow SDLC, Agile, and development lifecycle processes.
• Report progress, risks, issues, and dependencies in a timely manner.
• Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives where applicable.

You will be successful in this role if you have:
