Job summary

GEA's FHT - Global Engineering Hub in India seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to support pharma solid dosage projects. Based in Vadodara, you will design electrical systems, create drawings with EPLAN P8, and coordinate with suppliers and project teams.

You will work on PLC hardware (Siemens/Rockwell), ensure IEC 60204/61439 compliance, and contribute to control panel design and wiring schematics. Travel up to 6-8 weeks for site support in India and abroad.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation or similar background.
• 3–8 years in Pharma Solid Dosage or related engineering.
• Knowledge of EPLAN P8, PLC hardware, and IEC standards (60204/61439).

Responsibilities

• Electrical loop drawings, panel design & layout using EPLAN P8.
• Prepare instrumentations & hook-up drawings.
• Design control systems, and configure industrial network architecture.
• Wiring schematics for switchboards and control panels.
• Cable calculations and cable tray layout.

Responsibilities / Tasks

Role & Responsibilities

• Responsible for electrical design. Works according to the applicable quality procedures.
• Works based on customer specifications.
• Designs according to the most efficient principles, both in terms of cost, quality, and planning.
• Maintains contact with suppliers and electrical subcontractors.
• Creates the necessary drawings and parts lists and passes them on to the work preparation team.
• Provides the necessary information for the preparation of documentation and manuals.
• Is the internal point of contact for questions regarding electrical engineering projects.

Profile And Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering Degree in

• Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation & Controls or similar education background

Work Experience - Engineer - Electrical

• 3-8 years
• Experience on Pharma Solid Dosage, Compression Machine Engineering Industry

Skills - Engineer - Electrical

• Electrical Engineering Know-how
• Depth Knowledge of Eplan P8 (2023) Software - Master database & Reports, Electrical Schematics
• Depth knowledge of PLC hardware and field connection with siemens & Rockwell make PLC's
• Machinery standard IEC-60204 Know-how
• Switchgear assembly standard IEC-61439 Know-how
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and co-ordinations with various project teams
• Cables / busbar calculation & sizing
• Selection of components for hazardous area electrical and instrumentation
• Knowledge of heat-loss calculation
• Knowledge of UL / CE / ATEX / IP standards for control panels and field instrumentation
• Strong knowledge of field instrumentation and connections with PLC hardware

Travel Requirements

• The Engineer would be based in India office
• 6-8 weeks travel will be required, Involving in Electrical site support, Panel FAT throughout India & abroad, Trainings in India & abroad.
