ADVANZ PHARMA in Mumbai (Hybrid) seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead end-to-end Technology Transfer and related initiatives within Technical Operations. The candidate brings 12+ years of professional experience, 7+ years in project management, and 5+ years in pharma, with PMP/PRINCE2 credentials and strong GMP expertise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field.
- PM certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner.
- 12+ years of overall professional experience with 7+ years in PM and 5+ years in pharma.
- Strong understanding of GMP requirements and pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
- Proven experience managing Technology Transfer projects and lifecycle activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Technology Transfer, API changes, reformulations, RFQ, and process improvements.
- Develop and execute project plans with risks, budgets, timelines, and milestones.
- Conduct feasibility assessments with Finance and business stakeholders.
- Build relationships with Regulatory, Supply Chain, Quality, and Commercial teams.
- Collaborate with external partners, CMOs, and service providers.
- Chair cross-functional meetings and ensure governance and follow-up actions.
- Monitor progress and report status to leadership via PM systems.
- Identify risks and issues and enable timely decisions; drive continuous improvement.

As we continue to grow as a leading international specialty pharmaceutical company, we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Technical Operations team and play a key role in delivering critical supply continuity and business growth initiatives.
The Technical Operations team is focused on ensuring supply continuity through the successful delivery of Technology Transfer (Site Transfer), API Change, Reformulation, RFQ, and Process Improvement Projects.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of complex cross-functional projects, driving them from feasibility assessment through to execution and delivery. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external manufacturing partners to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Lead and manage Technology Transfer, API change, reformulation, RFQ, and process improvement projects.
- Develop and execute project plans, manage risks, budgets, timelines, and critical milestones.
- Conduct project feasibility assessments in partnership with Finance and business stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with internal functions including Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Quality, Technical Operations, Artwork, and Commercial teams.
- Collaborate effectively with external partners, CMOs, consultants, and service providers.
- Chair cross-functional project meetings and ensure effective governance, documentation, and follow-up actions.
- Monitor project progress, communicate status updates, and provide visibility to leadership through project management systems and governance forums.
- Identify, assess, and elevate project risks and issues to enable timely decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement and recommend alternative approaches to maximize project outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related discipline.
- Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent.
- 12+ years of overall professional experience.
- 7+ years of project management experience.
- 5+ years within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of GMP requirements and pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
- Proven experience managing Technology Transfer projects and pharmaceutical product lifecycle activities.
- Demonstrated track record of successful product launches.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and project management tools.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a pragmatic, solution-focused approach.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
