Job summary

JioStar in Mumbai is seeking a Chartered Accountant to manage Revenue Assurance and Cash Applications Accounting. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate accounting, preparing balance sheets and P&L schedules, and leading monthly closures.

The ideal candidate will have 6–8 years of experience, preferably in the media or advertisement industry. Strong proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office, along with leadership capabilities, is essential.

Job description

Position at JioStar Mumbai office to manage Revenue Assurance & Cash Applications Accounting, Monthly Closing, Controllership, Audits & MIS reporting, automation, process improvement and control checks for Revenue area.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely accounting.
• Prepare and review the monthly balance sheet and P&L schedules related to revenue and receivables.
• Lead monthly closures, including preparing schedules, COC and revenue disclosure requirements.
• Review contracts and identify accounting complexities in compliance with Ind AS 115.
• Handle statutory and internal audits.
• Interact and coordinate with business and technology teams for process improvements, revenue reporting, automation, and new system implementation.
• Ensure SLAs for accounting and reporting are met, with compliance to company policies.
• Manage collection and TDS accounting and prepare 26AS reconciliation for revenue and TDS.
• Prepare bank reconciliation statements promptly.
• Coordinate with the tax team for GST, VAT, WHT filings and respond to tax audit queries.
• Ensure adequate controls are in place and effective.
• Coordinate with stakeholders from Treasury, Direct Tax, Indirect Tax, Collections, Business, FP&A, FRM, etc.
• Manage a team of around 15 people, reviewing their work and ensuring smooth team coordination.

Qualifications & Experience

• CA with a minimum of 6–8 years of post‑qualification experience.
• Experience in Revenue Assurance is mandatory.
• Preferably from the media or advertisement industry.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and ability to work with large data sets.
• Working knowledge of SAP is essential.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills.
