Job summary

Abbott in Mumbai, India, is seeking an onsite finance leader for Operations Finance. The role ensures timely and accurate financial data, delivering analytics to support informed decisions and presenting performance summaries to the India region and Global Operations.

The candidate will lead annual planning, contribute to complex cross-functional projects, and drive process improvements across multiple P&L areas within Operations.

Qualifications

• CA or MBA Finance qualification.
• 15+ years finance experience including FP&A, cost/general accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong business partnering, analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to influence ops peers.
• Proven track record driving process improvements and financial discipline.
• Knowledge of Abbott’s financial policies and reporting standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead India Ops annual plan, RLBE and other forecasts.
• Collaborate on GST, FTAs, incentives with CFS and plant teams.
• Analyze impact of external changes on India Ops P&L and inform mitigations.
• Develop and present analytics to drive financial and operations excellence.
• Participate in affiliate/region finance and cost optimization projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is an onsite opportunity in EPD India Operations finance team.

This role will ensure timeliness, accuracy and integrity of financial information. Role is responsible for delivering analytics to enable informed decision making by Operations teams as well as support in presentation of performance summaries to India region and Global Operations vertical

Responsibility

• Lead preparation of India Ops Annual Plan, Latest Best Estimate (RLBE) and other financial forecasts
• Work on various CFT projects (GST 2.0, Free Trade Agreements, Industrial policy led incentives) etc. with CFS, plant teams to avail underlying eligible benefits
• Support in analysis of impact of changes in external environment on India Ops P&L and work with CFTs on mitigation actions
• Proactively develop and present analytics to drive financial and operating excellence across various areas within Operations.
• Participate in Affiliate & Region level finance and CFT projects (Cost Optimization, margin improvement initiatives, capital expansions)

Experience & skills

• CA or MBA Finance
• 15+ years Finance experience (FP&A, Cost/General Accounting and Financial Reporting)
